EMPLOYEE CANDIDATE INFORMATIONAL TEXT ON THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Dear Employee Candidate;

This informational text has been prepared by Metro Matbaacılık San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., acting in the capacity of data controller, in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, in order to inform you about the purposes of processing your personal data, legal grounds, collection methods, potential recipients, and your rights under the KVKK.

  1. We do not have absolute control over the information you provide in the resumes you send us or on the websites that facilitate your contact with us. We advise you not to share any personal data or special categories of personal data with our Company that you do not wish us to know.

1. What Personal Data Do We Process?

  • Your name, surname, date and place of birth, gender, marital status, nationality;
  • Your email address, physical address, mobile phone number;
  • Health-related information (such as disability status) if included in your resume;
  • Your educational background, certificate and diploma information, expertise, foreign language proficiency, skills, seminar and course attendance, computer skills, exam results;
  • Information about your work experience (e.g., previous industries, companies, positions, responsibilities, salary);
  • Your photograph;
  • Driver’s license information;
  • Hobby-related information;
  • Your salary expectation;
  • Military service status;
  • Reference information (name, surname, title, workplace, and contact details of the reference person);
  • Any other information you voluntarily include in your resume that we cannot foresee, processed in compliance with the KVKK.

Your data may be retained by Metro Matbaacılık San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. for up to 1 year if your job application is rejected, or for up to 10 years after your departure if your application is approved.

2. For What Purposes Do We Process Your Personal Data?

The personal data listed above are processed for the following purposes in connection with the employment services provided to you under this Service Agreement:

  • Managing your job application process,
  • Communicating with you,

  • Assessing whether you meet the qualifications for the position we may offer,
  • Contacting your references to determine your suitability for the job,
  • Determining your preferred position, salary expectations, availability for other roles, and potential start date,
  • Assessing your eligibility to use company vehicles if needed,
  • Evaluating your age suitability for the position and ensuring compliance with the Regulation on the Employment Procedures and Principles of Child and Young Workers,
  • Facilitating recognition by our human resources team during interviews,
  • Establishing contact with you and preparing your personnel file if you are hired,
  • Identifying any circumstances that may disrupt your employment and ensuring compliance with Article 75 of the Military Penal Code No. 1632.

3. By What Method and Legal Basis Do We Process Your Personal Data?

Your personal data are processed based on your explicit consent and the legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the Law, including:

(i) "processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfill a legal obligation,"

(ii) "processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms," and (iii) "processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract." Data may be processed automatically (e.g., submission via our online system) or non-automatically (e.g., manual recording of information provided over the phone).

4. To Whom and For What Purposes Do We Transfer Your Personal Data?

Your personal data may be shared with judicial authorities or law enforcement agencies if required by law or to resolve legal disputes.

5. What Are Your Rights Regarding the Processing of Personal Data, and How Can You Exercise Them?

You may submit your requests regarding your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK to Metro Matbaacılık in writing, via registered email (KEP), secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or a previously notified email address registered in our system, in accordance with the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles for Application to the Data Controller."
